"SCHOOL OF ROCK" UPCOMING SHOWS

So I am posting a lot today sorry for that... but I am not sorry about this post I am Super Excited about our Music School "The Academy"! They are having their final performances and no it's not a boring recital... It's a rock show with kids performing (GUITAR, BASS, DRUMS, KEYS, & VOCALS) to songs that you all know from the Ramones, Pink Floyd (Dark side of the moon), and Southern Rock (Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Eagles, ZZ Top, Creedence Clearwater, and more). So if you are a fan of any of these bands then it is even sweeter watching little kids 8-18 rock out to some of your favorite tunes. Okay I sound like an infomercial right about now, haha! But anyway it really is sweet so pass the word on about it and come check it out at the Electric Theater:

My Amazing Man

Okay no it's not his Birthday... not even Fathers Day yet... nope not our Anniversary either.... I just wanted to declare what an incredible husband that I have!  He is also a Great father, such a hard worker... he almost works too hard sometimes.  He is such a talented, funny, positive, optimistic, forgiving, generous, super-intellectual, always seeking knowledge, nonjudgemental person who always can see the good in people even if others are curious.  I am so proud of all he does and has done for me and our family!  He is a great man even though he tries to act like a boy most of the time... haha!  I am so lucky to have you by my side in the journey through life... I love you Bucky!

My Freakin' Sweet Boys

So Bucky's hobby lately is skateboarding (I should say ONE of his hobbies)... So therefore both Gabe & Ethan think it's "Freakin' Sweet" they love skateboarding with Dad... and everything is "Freakin' Sweet!"   Gabe came out of the bathroom the other day, and he had gotten his hair a little wet and it was kind of spiked up in the front, anyway... he came up and said, "Mom my hair looks Freakin Sweet, huh!... and he also frequents the phrase "Rock and Roll" into his language...if something is cool well then it's Rock and Roll!  So if any of you are feeling left out of the cool lingo for 2008 (for 3 yr. olds) throw a couple of those phrases into your conversations and you will be cool at least in the eyes of my 3 yr old.

Our California Trip

This was such a fun trip to California (Sea World, the Beach, the Zoo, Disneyland, California Adventure, and finished off at Universal Studios) We went with ALL I mean ALL of my family and a few extras, so we really had a blast... thanks everyone for a great time!

This picture is for anyone who loves "The Simpsons" as much as Bucky...
He was excited to get this picture with his boys!

Gabe & Ethan love Curious George so they were pretty stoked to see him in real life... at Universal Studios!

I really liked this picture... especially when a few years go by and we can't remember what vacations are like with little kids...(but I should probably take the blame because I probably make them stop and pose for pictures to much... haha!) and you can tell they are sick of it! Sorry boys you will thank me later hopefully! I love you guys!

Bucky & Gabe sitting on Mickey's couch!

Here is Bucky & Gabe on one of our favorite rides... "Buzz Lightyear" even the adults loved it!

This is Gabe and after a long discouraging day of not being tall enough for the rides at Disneyland we finally got to "Toon Town" where he thought he was pretty special that he was "tall enough for everything" so we snapped this pic of him in his GLORY! We love you Gabe!

Here we are at Disneyland after a long day the boys are pretty overwhelmed and exhausted... that is of course in a good way!

This is at Sea World... the boys loved it and were so excited! Of course we couldn't leave without a couple penguins!

The Wedding

Bucky's little brother Beau got married last weekend to Ashley Wall... it was a beautiful wedding and we had a lot of fun... and my boys looked pretty cute too... minus the part where Gabe was the ring bearer and would not walk down the aisle... so I got to walk down with him crying and holding him up trying to get to the end of the aisle... it also didn't help when Gabe dropped the pillow and the whole crowd laughed... but it's okay he's over it and he still brags about being the ring bearer at Beau and Ashley's wedding... he must have a short memory of details, but I am okay with that. We love you Beau and Ashley!

Pictures for fun!

These are pictures I took of Bucky's little brother Kyle who is in The Academy... I take pictures of the final shows at the Theater for the Academy!

The Academy @ The Electric Theater!

For those of you that don't know... my husband Bucky and his family run the Electric Theater a music venue downtown.  Well Bucky and his partner Korky opened up a music school called "The Academy", next door to the theater!  It is a school for kids ages 7 to 18.   They teach Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keys, and Vocals!  They have a 45 min. private lessons weekly and can also take part in one of the groups.  The kids can choose from one of the Groups they are working on that Semester, they meet for 3 hours weekly.  At the end of their semester they get to perform live on stage at the Electric Theater on a Friday and Saturday night for their family, friends, and the public.  We just finished our 3rd Semester and are about to start our 4th Semester... Some of the past groups that they have done are: Rock of Ages, Led Zeppelin, Back to the 80's, Masters of Metal, and The Beatles!  This Semester they are doing The Ramones, Pink Floyd, and Southern Rock!  So we have been pretty busy with that going on, the word is starting to spread about our little "School of Rock" it is growing pretty quick we have about 50 students so far! You can check out the website: www.theelectrictheater.com and click on "Academy" It is so much fun so if you know anyone that should or wants to be a part of it they should check it out!
